Feature Pack 2007 Database Installation problem

I just installed XPE Feature Pack 2007 after installing SP1 and SP2. However I am stuck on updating the Database.
I always encounter this message:

"A new platform object needs to be installed before this update ........ "

Am I missing something here? I have tried a few updates like this http://xpefiles.com/cs/forums/t/601.aspx
But so far no progress. I only experience this with the laptop I just got yesterday. My other systems are working fine.

Hope you can help. I've been banging my head on this since yesterday..

No need to answer this. Problem solved. I forgot the permission on sharing the Repository Folder.
