There can be.  Right-click the folder and choose Properties, Security, Advanced, Auditing.  Turn Auditing on and you can get an event; you can then tell Task Scheduler to watch for that event.

I attempted to save a file in a subfolder, and the only events that I saw under "Security" were the ones pertaining to applying the auditing settings.  I selected Successful and Failed for both "Create files / write data" and "Create folders / append data." The object name that I selected was [username]/[COMPUTERNAME].
