IIS Running in x64 mode (Verify by noting the wp3wp.exe below)
Website is not precompiled
All dependent referenced assemblies compiled for all targets | any cpu on a 32 bit build machine
I've also verified that IntPtr.Size returns 8, so why do the assemblies noted report an image type of 32 bit and what does that mean?
It would be really awesome if someone here knew the answer and could help me understand

I suspect that the server runs x32 by default so that things "just work"
I dug up this info... see if it works i have not tested this:
"you can run your asp.net 2.0 applications in 64 bit mode. (yesh asp.net 2.0 apps can run in 64 bit mode as well)
To run the 64-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0, follow these steps:
| 1. | Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK. |
| 2. | Type the following command to disable the 32-bit mode:
cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 0

| 3. | Type the following command to install the version of ASP.NET 2.0 and to install the script maps at the IIS root and under:
%SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.40607\aspnet_regiis.exe -i ="
