I am really really realllyyyy hoping that it will be say Oct 21st .... or a day or two before that.....   as i have an event to attend on the 21st at the mlocal microsoft office to get 7 loaded on a new laptop ... that would be sweet

We are still a little ways off from the “Betat2” release of VS10 and .NET 4 - which is the version I’m going to be basing my posts on.  I wanted to start ahead of the actual Beta2 release, though, because there are a lot of things to do blog posts about (and it is fun to get a chance to blog about a few of the new Beta2 things before everyone else does! .

There is a comment at the start of this video http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/matthijs/Scott-Guthrie-Visual-Studio-2010-and-NET-Framework-40/ which says beta2 is in escrow.  So may only a couple of weeks.
