A buddy of mine is having a problem during windows isntallation, in this case Vista. I was wondering if there is any way to switch the installation to a verbose mode? For instance, the way you can switch from the standard graphical startup screen to the verbose screen that shows kernel level messages. It is hanging at the same place, and it would be nice to have some indicator as to why.
The other option, which I have explored yet since I'll have to burn a startup CD, is the INSTALL.LOG which should hopefully be present. Is this the only manner to get that information?
