I've tried the current
cleaup tool and it doesn't do anything. I can't even uninstall it with the installer that came with the download. I was excited at first with the express beta products and .Net 2.0 but now I'm just getting frustrated with trying to get the damn thing
set up. I'm up to 3 machines that I'm stuck with a half installed beta that won't install or uninstall.
With all of the problems people are reporting with removal of the .Net 2.0 products I wondering if there will be a cleanup tool that will remove all of the beta stuff before the final release?

The best cleanup is a fresh re-install of windows. I had one yesterday. The system is SO much faster now.

I'm not sure whether to agree or disagree with that. While yes that's true if you totally screw up your system, it the case of beta testing software I'd have to take the latter.

I had run into a problem with the beta 2.0 install last week. I don't think there will be a mother of all clean up tools for all the 2.0 beta stuff. Being beta it just comes with the territory.

What is the exact message that you are getting?

The cleanup tool creates log files in your %temp% directory named cleanup*.log. Can you check and see if you have these log files so we can see what it has tried to uninstall?
Also, can you please provide specific details about which setup package you are having trouble getting to install (or uninstall) and what error messages you are receiving?
