The taskagent certainly would drain the battery! Smiley I'm affraid Gif's not supported on the WP7.1 managed side. Does work on IE9 though... It's really a shame, as animated Gif is exactly the effect I want to achieve.

Discovered and reported some other issues with WriteableBitmap and visuals, that is ruining another idea for dynamic tile generation.

I've come to the point of limiting the ambitions and just keep things plain and easy until the next release.
