I have GFI's VIPRE Internet Security 2012. For some reason that isn't obvious to me, Windows 7 now things that VIPRE isn't running, and Windows 7 is all in a panic. The Action Center under System and Security is convinced that VIPRE has stopped, and the firewall has stopped. If I get into VIPRE, it indicates that everything is fine.
What's going on? Why does Windows 7 think that VIPRE has stopped when in fact it hasn't? Yes, I know I could disable those messages, but I want them enabled when there is a real issue. I just want to know why it's giving me false positive results.
