windows automation / startup script

I am playing with windows automation and i need to have a startup script performing some task, then reboot the computer and continue with the script ...

Can anyone point me in the direction on how to do that? I haven't been able to figure out the correct search term that will get me to some sample code / advice on the subject.

Any idea?

@fabian: I don't know if this is the preferred method, but I'd have the script make an entry in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/RunOnce and then trigger a reboot.
