I think my favorite feature in C# will be the stuff they are doing with parameters (named parameters, hallelujah!).
P.S. Is it just me or is this like nerd gold. Seeing Erik go into his self-thinking/trying to ask a question while getting lost in the expanse that must be his brain is awesome. Please do more videos like these Charles!
Very cool interview. I know this is not totally relevant to content, but I felt the interviewer was very very very uptight and fake sounding. The older lady that usually hosts this show seemed to be a bit more casual.
Tell me the reason that why c++ programmers should move from 2003 to 2005? As a matter of fact, there are still few people use VS 2005 or write C++/CLI code...So, I prefer VS 2003 or VS6...that's my choice.
Just because .NET 2.0 was hyped doesn't mean VS is all managed now. VC++ is still good for unmanaged C++. I am the coder on a halflife2 mod and the mod is of course unmanaged. We used to use VS2003 ... and VS2005 is soooooo much nicer. Lot's faster, better
intellisense, doesn't take forever to start up, etc.
I think the biggest different is that WPF has a powerful "backend" of sorts, i.e., you program in something like C# and VB.NET instead of Actionscript. Sometimes that in itself is quite nice. I am an avid Flash user and this sort of stuff is nice to see
(Flash will still probably rule because of its cross-platformness, but eh).

Pretty awesome stuff. Would be cool to see something like this come to fruition on a certain two screened tablet MS is supposedly working on.
