Like you, I was devastated. I filled out the contact form @ http://channel9.msdn.com/ContactUs and they sent me out a couple (with a few stickers for good measure!). Now he is back on my desk looking as dashing as ever.

It is. A friend of mine told me the other day they hired a senior CF developer on a gigantic salary (more then they wanted to pay) because they couldnt find anyone cheaper with the same skill set!

However, whilst it may be advantageous to seasoned CF developers, not sure it would be so positive for a neebie just starting out. Like W3bbo said, try it out and see it you prefer it.

I had not read the complete article (@ work) so thanks for the clarification. I still think it's 6 applications too many, but the fact that there is monitoring is both a blessing and a curse I guess.

 

I've recently got a new OEM machine, and I've still not had the chance to remove the rubbish bundled along with it. It really does detract from the experience. They need to maintain high quality all the way with WP7.

I hope we get the option to remove the OEM apps (unlikely I know). I hate getting into a situation like I did with the iPhone where I move the apps I don't want to a page and have to try and forget about them.

I would say the blue button is probably a function key?

The phone looks good, a little retro perhaps, but I like that. Although if my experiences with Dell PC's are anything to go by, the device won't be very reliable.

Great... another distraction whilst driving is just what I need! 

The idea and possibilities are amazingly cool though. A diagnostic app, to solve simple mechnical problems would be very welcome.
