the installation went very smooth, in about 40 minutes, altough I'm not sure if I had to install SQL 2005 Disk 2, since when I finished installing SQL 2005 Disk 1 it didn't ask for Disk 2, but I did any way
any comments on that?
I installed Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition first, then SQL 2005

Coffeehouse - Sharpreader...ugh

I have that problem sometimes too, but that's not as bad, as the fact that it downloads posts from many months ago, and so it puts them as unread, but to see them I would have to scroll down a long way and if you do that it crashes
I have a category that has 6000 items in it, it includes Channel9, slashcrap and some others, and it seems SharpReader doesn't handle that many items very well

Tech Off - C# + Linq = Perl?

>>Do we really need a syntax extension to allow queries? Couldn't someone have come up with an ADO.NET class that queries collections?
no, you don't really need it, you can still do it in other ways, if you don't like LINQ, you have the choice NOT to use it, but I think there are more people that like LINQ than there are people that think like you

>>Unfortunately the linq syntax is slightly different from SQL, so were going to have to get used to another query syntax. Why? Whats wrong with SQL?
Anders H already explained this, SQL syntax was designed to make it easier to read for the user, now we are programmers, and if you want features like autocomplete, etc, LINQ syntax is the way to go, again, you don't have to use it if you don't want, that's
the beauty of it
