@ch9 this is my worst Silverlight Video Player User eXperience EVER!!!

 

When *.wma (audio) is used vs *.wmv (video) like this example http://bit.ly/cOGqn1

Once user starts video, controls disappear and Silverlight Player goes BLACK with NO more user input being accepted.

 

This just  SUX    (Sad UX)

 

PS:

Hopefully this Silverlight Player will be modified to allow user access to controls should an audio only file is played?

 

Mike and Jennifer, some one asked me 'Which PDC2008 session interests you most and why?'.

 I'm having a hard time deciding which one(s)!   Perhaps you can help me decide by having some pdc2008 speakers give a 2 min. lighting talk on why I should attend their session?  It would be helpful if they show 1 or 2 graphics, or a few code snibbits, or freeze frame  preview or two?  

My two top choices so far are:
      1) A Day in the Life of a Coud Service Developer
  & 
      2) Deep Dive: Building a Optimized, Graphics-Intensive App in Silverlight 

Are these good choices... better choices?  PS: Need to know before Aug 15 so I can make the early bird deadline.

Nice inauguration Jennifer and Mike.  Like the format and look forward to seeing you two on a regular basis.  First off... time for a new timer as it stopped :34 seconds too soon.  (1:20 - 10:36 video time).  How about a viewable count down for the audience to see with a :30 seconds reserve for a rap-up.    

Being a developer who hasn't yet hit the jackpot with YouTube.Me (yet); I was wondering if there will be some content streamed live from the PDC08 beyond the KeyNote?  Thanks.  --Brain
