Inside Windows 8: Greg Colombo - Heap Manager
Dec 21, 2012 at 7:49 AMFantastic discussion...that has to be the single highest information-density-per-breath coming out of a single presenter that I've ever seen (although I'm still not sure what a kaylobite is
. Keep these coming!
Defrag Tools: #14 - WinDbg - SOS
Nov 14, 2012 at 9:16 AMMy biggest complaint about this series is you can only give it 5 stars...
Defrag: Clearing Frequent List, Keyboard Shortcuts, Window Always On Top
Aug 31, 2012 at 4:55 PMYou can always create a desktop shortcut to Device Manager and assign a shortcut key to it. I just set one up using devmgmt.msc as the target and then I assigned Shift-Ctrl-D as the shortcut key.

Defrag Tools: #1 - Building your USB thumbdrive
Jul 31, 2012 at 5:30 PMGreat show yet again, boys. I use these tools/techniques all the time but it seems like every time I hear someone talk about them I learn something new. Looking forward to the next 30 episodes!
@Andre: Thanks for the wscc tip...awesome sauce...
@Larry: Did you just channel Kriss-Kross at the start of this episode??? Total man-card violation...
Defrag: Memory Management, Phishing, Inside Microsoft
May 02, 2012 at 7:02 AM@Skinny: Any chance there's an element of ad-support in your SETI/BOINC software? (note: the irony of the terms 8-minute-dating and "boinc" appearing together is not lost on me #wakawaka)
Defrag: Memory Management, Phishing, Inside Microsoft
May 02, 2012 at 6:59 AMI wish there were 6 stars available for rating this show...for me the Sysinternals style discussion alone made this the best episode yet (no matter how many times I've heard Mark cover that stuff, it never gets old).
Defrag: CMD Line Wifi, Autologin Method, Bugcheck Troubleshooting
Apr 21, 2012 at 8:59 AMJust to throw in one other option if you happen to have the Sysinternals suite and don't have the required rundll32 parameters committed to memory, you can also use "psshutdown.exe -L" to lock the workstation from your autorun location of choice. (Probably ought to also include the -accepteula switch to avoid the 'accept agreement' dialog from popping up too).

Dec 17, 2011 at 7:26 AMThanks for the info regarding flattening my system. I enjoyed the conversation and I promise the next time I post a discussion item I'll keep it shorter so Larry can read it in a single breath
Cheers and looking forward to that discussion on hypercavitation (which I'm sure was only left out of this show due to time constraints...)
