  • Silverlight 4.0

So I'm guessing you guys are using IIS Media, and Silverlight 3 to stream these videos, and is the reason why I don't ever get a lag on them?  How easy is it going to be to DataBind say datamodels from an ASP.Net MVC application?  Would I just reference the DAL and instantiate the data objects needed?  I could see Silverlight 4 + ASP.Net MVC to be very very powerful and productive if it was done right with clean code I could see making a really good CMS for various types of templates Social, Business, Storefront using both frameworks.

  • ASP.NET MVC, part 2 of 2

I can really see the "Areas" really being used on large-scale projects.  To quickly authorize an entire controller say for an Admin side of a site is really cool as well.  Also, <%= Html.EnableClientValidation() %> I can see coming in handling and editing content in either a CMS or for forms (social website registration).

I am truly loving this framework.  Keep up the good work at MS.

    Very good video!

  • ASP.NET MVC, part 1 of 2

Hi Gu, great video.  Thanks for making me realise how easy it is to do a query search against my database with respect to your example on the Browse(string category) function.  Very useful.   I'll be making it with my BaseController that all other controllers will be inheriting.

Why did you'll not make a Delete part of the stong-type view templates?  It is used in most all MVC examples I have seen?  Do you'll plan to add more generic functionality strong-type view templates that could be used for any data model like delete, and browse?
