Just another FYI...

My understanding is that in the not too distant future, M-Cards will be completely obsoleted and not work.  This could have a huge effect on the cable card tuners as well...  all Cable will be going digital going forward, there are bandwidth issues attempting to be addressed and it will change the technical landscape as we know it from a cable tech standpoint.

This is a great intro for those who haven't seen those features.  What really needs to be added however is the next step, such as how we utilize this to say... hide or control features.  The ability to authenticate the user isn't very useful if we don't know how to control access to features by unauthenticated and/or unauthorized for users.  I'd like to see some samples at least linked here.
