This video had a high pitch hissing sound in the background when I was watching it. I don't know if it's just my machine, but no other videos I play do it. You guys may want to check the audio of the video again.

I've watched every one of these so far, and I really look forward to what you do for the 2000's.

I like how she says that Project passed the 3 Millionth customer mark, but the text on the screen reads "3,000,000,000". Billionth??

I'd be interested to hear an inteview with the parents and/or adults behind these kids and OmniTechNews. It may be interesting to hear what they do to encourage them.

And now when I think of an online encyclopedia I immediately think of Wikipedia, not Encarta.

Hanselminutes on 9 - Inside Secret Microsoft Meeting Rooms - What Laptop do Alpha Geeks Use?
Jul 07, 2009 at 1:56 PMNice, and mildly amusing. That's quite the variety of laptops.
If we only knew what files Phil accidentally deleted when he cleared his recycle bin. Perhaps some new awesomeness for ASP.NET MVC is now lost forever.

I'm No alpha geek, but I'm sporting a SONY VAIO VGN-FW290 with 4GB RAM and a 2.26Ghz Core 2 Duo. And, Yes I have access to all 4GB of RAM (unlike Phil) with Win7 RC x64. The only thing I don't like about this laptop is that Sony permenently disables hardware assisted virtualization on all their Vaio laptops; I didn't know this when I bought it and NewEgg wouldn't accept a return. They didn't believe me that the laptop was malfunctioning.

What happened to Managed JScript?

I'm about half way through now, and Excellent Interview!
Since we're talking about the DLR, What happened to support for Managed JScript?

Is anyone else having problems playing the video and/or downloading?? I click the "play" icon and it wont play, just shows a black screen. Also, when I try to download the WMV, it doesn't work either. Hmm...
Update: I right clicked the WMV link and selected "Save As" and now it's downloading, but really slow. It must be my ISP.
Update: Was it just me, or was http://ironruby.net down for a moment? Traffic related?

NerdDinner.com is an excellent example application, and WAY better than the usual "Hello World" crap that's traditionally included in most books. And, it's an Open Source Project, so it'll grow way past the initial demo shown in the Pro ASP.NET MVC book.
I have heard some say that the book's not worth it since the NerdDinner Chapter (Ch 1); which is available as a free download; is 164 pages of the total 420 pages of the book (not including the index); however don't be put off by this. The book is an excellent reference!! If you're looking to demistify ASP.NET MVC and get using it; then I totally recommend this book.

Excellent Job on the Book!!!
