  OK, here are my thoughts, get ready... epic comment...

  Paul, thanks for the mention. You were the first person I thought of when I read the news. Is your top secret project shipping?

  Yes, I've been absent. Work and personal life are consuming my time. I've been cutting my teeth on the Windows 8 Developer Preview and I want to get something into the store soon. It amazes me that the preview works on my 5 yr old DELL Inspiron.

  Also, I didn't know you moved teams. Keep up the great work over on the System Centre Advisor Team. You will always be my cool SQL Server guy.

  XBOX live for all is great. On a larger idea, I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't released more apps on other mobile platforms. My Dad really wants Microsoft Office on his iPad, especially Excel. OneNote on the iPad is awesomeness!

  Ah, the sorted topic of virtual currency. I understand credit card purchases are inundated with fees, but change the system to make it 1 to 1. Make the math dead simple.

  Laura, regarding gift cards, I have dozens of them with maybe 2 or 3 dollars left in change. I recently used the remainder to pay for the person in line behind me, it made them really happy. I love reloadable gift cards This is how I get my coffee in the morning (I'm not a loose change carrying type of person). I actually work with a guy who doesn't even have a debit card. He still goes to the brick and mortar bank to get money out for the week. Cash is still king even though I rarely use it.

  MIX striked me as the afternoon snack between PDC and TechEd. I like the different types of content at MIX, but you get conference overload. Which one do you attend, which one do you skip, is there mobile, desktop and web, is it local, do I fly, do I need a hotel, etc. Microsoft shoud have an online pass for premium conference content. Maybe link that to your MSDN?

  Personally, I really miss the Deep Dives we used to have in Calgary. They were at the local Cinema and ran all morning. It was a great use of a theater, good acoustics and really comfortable seats and everyone could see the giant screen. They were also presented by local MVP or RDs which was a great for networking.

  @hellokeith:very cool, my account also dates back close to the beginning (March 13, 1997).  I remember when and where I was when I signed up and how cool it was to send a message to another person.  I also remember the default storage space was 2MB.

  I'm so thoroughly impressed by the work that went into this new platform.  It absolutely blows my mind.  It would've been really cool if the boxes were signed by each Engineer who loaded the software, it would've make them one-of-a-kind

  I'm just sad I'm unable to attend Build and get my hands on one.  I'm so jealous to be honest.  Perhaps Microsoft could have a contest for niners that were unable to attend where they can win one?  Just a thought

  I'm looking forward to watching the sessions as they come online.  This is a very exciting day to be a "PC".

  For the Bootcamp question, you can use MacDrive from mediafour.com.  However, as Gov stated (and as i've experience), it doesn't always do the best at writing and i've had it fix corrupt writes using Disk Utility to fix it. 

  As for the file system, I wanted offer an alternative to FAT32 (as suggested by Gov), you an use exFAT (the sucessor to FAT32) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExFAT) in Windows 7 and OSX (10.6.5+), as well as there is a driver for XP (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955704).  With exFAT you won't get security like NTFS or HFS+, but it will allow you to share files between machines that are larger than 2GB

  Paul and Laura, I've been away, oh how I've missed how much you too.. shall we saw "mock" each other

  Paul, it's OK, Laura doesn't understand your Excel Wizardry (I do).  I have fond memories of helping my Dad with his Worksheets (he's an Engineer), and showing him how to take a recorded macro and apply it to lots (and I do mean lots) of Workbooks at once.

  Congrats Laura, I didn't know you were a member of Mensa

  Speaking of Windows 7, I was plesently surprised to see the liquor store in Edson AB running Microsoft Dynamics w/ Windows 7.  I was expecting to see XP or something, but no Win 7 running Microsoft Dynamics.

  The dress is awesome.  I can see someone like Lady Gaga wearing it to, say the supermarket.  It just needs a hat with a big "follow" button on it.

  Kinect Jockey?  Really?  Seriously?  Wow, I watched 10 seconds and had to turn it off.  It just seemed.. well.. an interesting application of the hardware.

  I found this about six months ago, it is the BEST source for code samples for Microsoft technologies, period!

  I love it because it includes C++, it's not just about .NET code
