@vesuvius: i had a project like that with wp7 and I think once I opened the project up in blend, it became clear what I screwed up.

for custom apps, they can make their button look however they want. Personally, i did the metro clean UI.

@Greenpig: Gary, which adapters did you try? The Linksys one I have works like a champ. I will say I did have an older one however that did not but that was back when Win7 was beta. I have never uninstalled my security software to install a driver and everything works just fine.
If that device is older, how long should the company that made it support for newer systems? The x64 world has been around for a while but only now is it gaining more movement due to people installing more than 4gigs of RAM in their systems.

@battlebottle: to play devil's advocate, does having a video buffer impact your experience? smooth streaming helps fix that issue.

So I did actually do not one but three smooth streaming tests at some point last year. The feedback was mixed on it. Smooth Media Framework now is on v2, it added some neat features that wouldn't hurt to revisit this topic. I'll bring it back up with the group.

@wkempf: why are you using WMP instead of Zune to do that? Zune can rip CDs just fine.
