Why are Internet companies in the UK such pushovers? Why don't they tell the government to screw themselves?

Do RGBLED-backlit displays have this problem? They're rare, but I have one in a laptop, and the color gamut is crazy wide.

@Simo:
It actually only appears on the primary monitor.

I experimented a bit, found you could hit Win+E to launch an explorer window, then CTRL+E to set focus on the search box.
Also there's an option, in Folder Options, to automatically place focus on the search box as soon as you start typing into the list view. So with that turned on, you can just hit Win+E, then start typing to search.

Fouled up? No way hose!
Kids using Windows misspell words like centre and analyse because their OS is full of spelling mistakes

You know in the US, those "misspellings" were considered deliberate reforms.

Actually the image stabalization is only on linear motion so just an accelerometer is sufficient. It's actually quite simple to implement. Just crop the center of the frame slightly, then shift the pixels by some acceleration vector.

Captains just issue orders, and the crew has to follow them no matter how foolish they are, even if they have to override 100 alarms. The captain just says "do a flyby of this island" and the crew has to go and carry out the orders. What probably happened here is a mate on watch was distracted and missed a turn. But we won't know for sure until they go over the black boxes.

At the very least, they should have a nav system that gives out very clear warnings when the ship diverges from the pre-programmed route
This is exactly what the ship did. They said there are clear visual and audible warnings.

This site tracks the ship's position, but looks like it's busted for some reason:

Well he would have been warned about the shallow water for sure. But he didn't care, if he was going to follow the navigation system he wouldn't have been 4 miles off course. These cruise lines program the course into the ship, it's fully automated. The ship just automatically follows the course that's programmed in, this dude willfully overrode everything so he could show off.
Yeah there's no way he could have navigated safely that close to shore without a pilot, and they were going way too fast to cause such a violent collision to carve out a 150 foot hole in the hull and embed rocks in there. He's totally screwed.
According to a published account by a cook onboard, a full half hour after the incident, Schettino was still asking for his dinner and drinks and reportedly demanded to know where his female companion's dessert was.The captain of the crippled Costa Concordia cruise ship, Francesco Schettino, has reportedly said the reason he was in a lifeboat while thousands of panic-stricken passengers and crew were trying to evacuate was because he "tripped" and fell into the rescue craft.You can't make this up!
