@Jules: For office documents on my WP7 I just linked to SkyDrive via the Office app. It has worked since day one.

There is a weird frame in the vid at 5:43 / 5:44 but I couldn't catch what it was. Subliminal message from Charles maybe. I can't tell but I can't resist the urge to go out to eat at Joes Crab Shack.

@Brian You have a typo in the link to TFS Express. http://www.tfspewview.com should read http://tfspreview.com/
One key shifted over

Thank you for the show. Looking forward to TFS.

After seeing the work like this for Silverlight, I knew it was a matter of time before it got into the base framework.
edit: That IS rock and roll.

Great work Maoni. I know optimizing the GC has to be brutally tough work given all the world's use cases. Every optimization is greatly appreciated. I heard the WindowsPhone meeting reminder go off in the beginning and thought it was mine.
Btw, that keyboard is wild!

Ping 117: Xbox gives back, Win 8 boots fast, Ballmer sees bright future, More MATH please!
Sep 21, 2011 at 10:09 PMThe shortcoming of math and science education is much deeper than no time because of things like cursive. I agree, love Balmer's personality and excitement. Btw, following Laura now.

@Chris:This is because Google is pushing the VP8 codec by not supporting the h.264 codec, both of which are a part of the HTML5 spec. IIRC you can get a plugin for it... or use Safari or IE

I tend to lean toward the other end of the spectrum for most mobile apps(not all). High performance PC and server apps, I get it. With managed and javascript+html5 generally comes much higher stability and security generally speaking. Not that you can't get this in native code, its just less for free.
If we could solve the issues of GC and jitting the MSIL in a parallel manner on phones than I'd much rather stick to managed there.

Can next week be TWC9 fire side chat? Smoking jackets?

@Charles: Thanks. I did some digging and also found this site for feature requests.
