How "ironical" I had a web apps teacher tell the whole class that all apps will be webbased in the future I had to correct him and explain that with .net and webservices you can get the same internet functionality on a desktop app and told him google earth is a perfect example of this.

I also explained to him that students will be able to turn in their work and have the time and date recorded without needing connection to the internet thus the next time they connect to the server it will send with recorded time and date.

He thought I was mad....(I told him all this insanity in private).
