Hello,

The new web site feels sluggish. I think it is only perceptual. Previously I would wait, then the web page would refresh all at once. Now I have a faded page and animation while I wait ... it makes it feel slower, because I am losing information (previous page contents) and distracted (by animation) as I wait.

Is it possible to download/watch videos without using activeX controls? At one point it was possible, and useful. Now I can't see anything.

Also I went to add a comment to a video and I could not type in the comment box. It was dead.

PS: I see a "downloads" link next to videos. Clicking on it does nothing -- but I can see a javascript error on the web page.

Everytime I visit an MSDN library page online I get a modal popup asking me to install Silverlight. Which serves no purpose for reading html documentation. Am I the only one going nuts with these pop-ups? Everyone else just swallows the pill and installs it?

I don't need more activex controls, more unmanaged code with unknown vulnerabilities and constant patches. I don't like flash advertisements; silverlight advertisements sound equally bad. Please Microsoft stop these pop ups.

Is it true that Vista disables S/PDIF audio outputs? This seems like it would make it a useless OS for musicians and audio professionals.

Surely you can see my avatar is boring, just a test! But I cannot upload a different image -- we only get one shot?
