Novell has its free CNS and CLS training and certificates. It is a mix of promotion and salestraining the way I see it and I like it, despite that it does not have the value of CNE or MCSE type certifications (but hey, you get a nice logo :D )

Does Microsoft have such a thing as well?

Time remaining counter [Time remaining counter]

Can anyone tell me how the 'time remaining' counter while copying files in Windows works?
That counter goes up and down, especially when the filesize differs greatly. That I can understand, each file has overhead and a lot of small files up the copy time.
What I'd like to know is what the counter is exactly based on: the last copied files, data transferred in the last, say, 10 seconds, or maybe the last 10 files.

The following script is actually direct from the CD that came with the book (Microsoft Windows Scripting Self-Paced Learning Guide)

Running it without arguments gives the correct message.

When I give one or more arguments, it gives an error:
pingmultiplecomputers.vbs(10,1) (null): 0x80041010

This is the command:
cscript pingmultiplecomputers.vbs computer1;computer2
where computer1 is the local machine and computer2 a machine on the network. I have no administrator rights on computer2

This is the script:
