Exactly. This is not indicative of any decline in MS. In fact, some of the cool stuff coming is very cool. It's just something interesting for me that I want to try my hand at.

Wordpress is more customizable from an end-user perspective, for sure. But from a code perspective, it's only more customizable if you like to write PHP code.

WordPress is definitely a great blog platform and one that we would like to emulate in some ways, and hopefully improve upon in others.

We're addressing many of the issues and are always looking for contributors to help us out in that regard.

As for the IFileStorage someone mentioned, someone is working on a mockup for that. But ours is related to storing assets (images etc...) so that you can upload it to a BLOB or the file system.

I just wrote up a new version of the "Blog This" plug-in for RSS Bandit.

You can use it to replace the existing one and it's configurable to allow only blogging the link.

That solves #3. RSS Bandit's next version will have #2. No plans for #1 yet.

I like RSS Bandit because it can synchronize my feeds, read items, unread items between work and home.

Coffeehouse - How often do you use the Microsoft's Enterprise Intranet Portal?

I'm currently reading a TechNet article on how Microsoft "dogfooded" Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 internally by deploying it as an internal intranet.

From the article, it looks great! I'm curious to hear from the inside, how often and how useful do you find this new Intranet?
