People often stop me in the streets to ask "Hey Tina, what's life "really" like at Microsoft? Sometimes I can't even walk outside my house without somebody standing there with a giant neon sign that blinks "What is life "really" like at Microsoft"?...
I don't know how many of you have played Viva Pinata yet, but my wife and I absolutely love it. It may be kid oriented, but this kid hasn't played anything so entertaining since the first Halo game came out. Gears of War is a great game, but even it can't keep me away from playing Viva P...
It's hard to write kernel mode drivers. Real hard. In fact, it's hard to believe how hard it is. Well, the Windows Driver People have been working tirelessly to make it a little less hard (not easy) to write kernel mode drivers that won't hose your system.
You know, blue screen of death and the ...

"Desktop (non-Metro-style) apps will be able to be promoted in the Windows Store if they meet Microsoft's Desktop App certification requirements, and will be discoverable via the Windows 8 store. Windows 8 Desktop Apps will be neither licenesable nor downloadable (i.e., able to take advantage of the Windows 8 "fulfillment service") from the Store. Instead, Microsoft will only provide a link to the Windows Store for Desktop Apps on Windows 8 on x86/x64 and ARM."
@Shawna Mann: It depends the country. In the US, people can buy apps with their phone carrier account instead of a credit card. Agreed it will be nice to have other options though. Hopefully they'll open it up a bit after this app store succeeds.
@efjay:Just tried clicking on the play button on the home page of C9 from my Samsung Focus and it started playing the video. I assume it's just playing the MP4.
@magicalclick: You can check out the ReadMe. It goes over all the changes from Beta 1 to Beta 2. To answer your question about frequency of changes, there are no new features (other than updates to /_Admin) or changes from Beta 2 to RTW.
