Something to cover for next week, the Calendar on Outlook.com has finally made it into the 21st Century! yay!
Still not up in the UK yet, but there seems to be issues with the Windows Store. I've got some app stuck in Publishing for 5+ days now as have many others, hopefully they will fix this and the backlog will start filtering through.
I'd agree with ResearchVoyager that if you are giving out money like $100 per app, it should be based on something like downloads.
IllumiShare is some pretty smart stuff, but I'm with you Laura. I want my hands on with IllumiRoom !
Worldwide Telescope is amazing, probably as close to the stars as I'm ever going to get sadly. Maybe need to start saving for a seat on Virgin Galactic.
The Xbox Rewards programme is a great incentive to reward those that spend time (and money) on the Xbox. I've been in it since it launched and so fan had almost 4000 MSP's in reward points ![]()
We call it noughts and crosses here in the UK. The funny differences I find are usually between the same word definitions here in the UK and over there in the US. Like pants, or fanny. They mean different things here :/
Have you muted your mic Laura when Paul is on full-screen? I've seen him pause and respond to something (I assume you say) but we can't hear it.
The paying the dev's thing is pretty neat but of course it is US only, so the rest of use dev's around the world are not encourage quite as much :/
In the UK we do have a similar thing, but much tamer http://www.appbuilder-rewards.co.uk/
You do seem a little lax on how bad you think getting your Xbox Account hacked could be, don't make too light an issue out of it.
Hmm tax tips, sounds like you need to set yourself up as a company and make your "base" in Luxembourg and then pay yourself via dividends/profits as they are ridiculously low in tax.
@martinmine: remember though, I went to Uni a looooong time ago. I'm about as old as Laura! 😉 but until I find a tablet with pen I like on Win8, pen and paper will still be used 😊
Flash enabling for all sites is pretty good, but what we need next is Silverlight on ARM.
Ummm ....... yeah there you go.
Cross platform is always good, but you need to be able to only buy ONE copy of the game and not 3 times. Galactic Reign is also another game that now does multi-screen.
Other than matching the same functionality, it could be an extension of the main game. Something like Fable Coin Golf/Pub Games did for the Main Xbox Fable 2/3 games.
Ouch Laura, didn't you know it was a character I was playing, just letting you win ![]()
One-Note is by far the best Office product, an amazing product especially if you have a pen-supported tablet.
Well I mainly relied on Office ( Word mostly) for report writing and various developer tools like Visual Studio and Win-PROLOG for AI programming. Still used pen and paper for note taking in those dark ages when I was at Uni ![]()
Yay, Happy Birthday ![]()
