Part 31: Detecting Trial Versions
Jan 26, 2013 at 11:01 PMIt looks like you caught your mistake in the next video (part 32).
Part 31: Detecting Trial Versions
Jan 26, 2013 at 10:57 PMAlso when I have <IsTrial>true</IsTrial> in the license.xml file and I run my app, I don't see the price on the about page unless I drag my mouse over the field (i.e. select it).
Part 31: Detecting Trial Versions
Jan 26, 2013 at 10:46 PMHey Bob, Did you forget to add the code from Task 2 step 4? ("an override for OnWindowCreated in your App class, so we can catch the window's dispatcher")
You paste in step 3 at 10:36 in the video, but then proceed to step 5.
Part 15: Implementing Type Converters
Jan 24, 2013 at 6:26 AMI downloaded the Labs (http://aka.ms/windows8campinabox) and got the code I needed, so I'm good to go.
Part 15: Implementing Type Converters
Jan 23, 2013 at 7:00 PMI think what Navprabhat Singh is saying is that in your download code (http://media.ch9.ms/content/WinStoreAppDev_CS.zip) there is no Common\ListConverter.cs at all and the code in ItemDetailPage.xaml doesn't have <FlipView.Template> (see 8:11 in the video). I typed in the ListConverter.cs manually as I could see all the code on the video but not so for the ItemDetailPage.xaml file.
In your download there are folders of the application for chapters 3-5, 9 and 24. There is no CS_15 folder for the lesson in question ("Part 15: Implementing Type Converters"). I looked in the CS_24 folder hoping to find it there but ItemDetailPage.xaml has no reference to <FlipView.Template> and ListConverter.cs isn't there either.
I'm sure it's in the Lab download, I just didn't get around do downloading it (it seems large and was hoping to avoid getting it).
Anyway, thanks Bob for your great work.
Episode 98 - Mobile Services, ASP.NET Facebook Template, and Github Publishing Demos
Jan 17, 2013 at 6:43 AMThis makes me want to check out both the scheduling features and the Facebook templates. I realize your pressed for time, but if you could get into the habit of zooming in a strategic points during the demo that would be good.
Thanks,
