TWC9: VS11 RC UI Updates, Portable Library v2 Beta, Hilo for Win 8 and more
May 12, 2012 at 10:34 PMI like the Version and update information tool. It's been a challenge to keep Visual Studio up to date. I wish that all the updates came through the same channel, like the extension manager.

C9 Live: Today - Patterns and Practices Symposium
Apr 23, 2012 at 7:34 PMWell this is going to be interesting! I'm sure the floors of the P&P group are covered with hair that has been pulled out of heads. With the rapid clip of change, making sense of it all must surely present some challenges.

Brian Beckman: Hidden Markov Models, Viterbi Algorithm, LINQ, Rx and Higgs Boson
Dec 30, 2011 at 7:33 PM@brianbec: Or better yet, it seems that getting a plain text dump of wikipedia, isn't so difficult.

Dec 29, 2011 at 9:19 PM@brianbec: I'm looking for a good word frequency list, and this is what I've found. Code soon to follow, I hope.

Using the Windows Runtime from JavaScript
Sep 19, 2011 at 5:19 PMThis is a really good session, and I didn't even care for JavaScript! It seems that much of this interop stuff has been thought out fairly well, compared with offerings from other vendors.

Defrag 003 - Win7 Shutdown Slowdowns, Prob Step Recorder, MSI Failures
Apr 04, 2011 at 7:35 PM@MagicAndre1981: I've never run into anyone that set their Clear Page File At Shutdown flag without knowing what it does or what it impacts. Then again, I don't have to deal with people that tattoo their face, put hot sauce in the wrong hole, or perform other inexplicable acts upon themselves.

Mar 03, 2011 at 8:11 PM@dentaku: What are you talking about? They totally succeeded in making that unsuccessful show. Was it ill-conceived? Possibly. The biggest problem is that niners are an eccentric bunch. We open tickets on connect and they get closed, often by reason of design. These aren't problems that you can fix with a call-in show.
That said, I would like my BSOD-when-I-run-the-VS2008-profiler-on-an-app-running-in-the-Windows-Mobile-6.5-emulator bug fixed.

World's first profiler for Windows Phone 7
Oct 11, 2010 at 7:58 AMI wish that I had a profiler for Windows Mobile 6.5.3. There is only so much optimizing that you can do by putting timers everywhere.
What was the guy using for a database? It certainly wasn't SQL Compact or any other Microsoft database, since they are not supported on Windows Phone 7.
EDIT:
Hey! These guys make a Compact Framework profiler!
