Coffeehouse - Latests C9 videos

What's different with the new C9 videos??

I can't watch the latests videos that have been posted on C9 on my Pocket PC. They do "play", but look choppy.

Oh noes!!!, does this mean that I will have to watch the videos on my... DESKTOP? :O

So... what has Rory been doing to those videos? Are they on a higher bitrate or what? Or maybe I turned into a user :O that can't even play a video on a PDA without calling tech support?!?

So now that we're talking about videos.. who do we have to kill around here to get an RSS feed of the videos in an iPod friendly format

P.S. Yeah, I know this message has too many emoticons, but.. I'm a girl, and that's what girls do

Coffeehouse - iPod format Podcast? (again) :)

Hi,

A while ago I asked if there were any plans of making Channel 9 videos available as a podcast for the video iPod like the pocast you have at on10.net.

Just wanted to see if this was in your plans or should we just forget about this?

Thanks

Coffeehouse - Channel 9 Videos on an iPod?

W3bbo wrote:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the video iPod have a 4:3 screen... and the C9 videos are in 4:3 ratio anyway. So it's simply a matter of converting them from WMV to MPEG, something that can be easily accomplished.

Yeah... so it would be very easy for Channel 9 to convert these videos before posting them and adding the iPod format video link to a different feed...

So Channel 9.... are you listening?

Coffeehouse - Channel 9 Videos on an iPod?

I know it sounds like a sacrilege but wouldn't it be cool to have an iPod video format feed so we could subscribe to the shows on Channel 9 on iTunes and watch them on an iPod?.

Personally I use my iPod as my primary media device simply because of storage, I only have 2GB on my Dell Axim and that's not enough. I'm also lazy and prefer to have iTunes download all my stuff

So, any onther lazy person like me think this is a good idea?
I mean it could be possible, currently the on10.net show is available for iTunes, but lately I have been having problems playing those videos on the iPod (but that's another thread...).

So.. who's with me?

Coffeehouse - High Resolution Channel 9 Videos

Hey All,

I usually download Channel 9 videos to my pocket pc to watch whenever i get the time. However I was a little behind on video downloading so i downloaded the videos and started watching them on my pc. For my surprise, a few of these videos where in a 640x480
resolution. These are huge files, but it's worth the wait because you can watch the video on your computer monitor, or even tv at full screen and it looks great.

So i was thinking, maybe Channel 9 could have a separate rss feed with enclosures to 640x480 versions of the channel 9 videos. This way those of us who want the high resolution videos and download these huge files, can subscribe to that feed. And leave another
feed with the 320x240 version of the videos.

What do you think?
