The Sandbox is an area of the NetFx3.com site that has been designed to demonstrate the use of Windows CardSpace. Like most sites on the web today, this site provides the ability to login using a username and password. However, this site has been customized to also use Windows CardSpace for authentication. On the Sandbox site you can:
- Create a user account using a username and password or using a self-issued Windows CardSpace Information Card
- Link one or more Information Cards with your user account
- Sign-in to the site using your username and password or an Windows CardSpace Information Card that you have linked with your account

The Pirate Bay Comes Back Online [The Pirate Bay Comes Back Online]

For the last couple of days there were stories of The Pirate Bay, the worlds largest bittorrent tracker, being taken offline by swedish athorities while they were being investigated for copyright infringement. Even the MPAA released a statement praising the police raids on TPB's hosting provider as proof that internet pirates can't hide anywhere. Well, maybe they jumped the gun just a little. It seem like today the website of The Pirate Bay is being put back online. Things are a little slow, but the site is there, available once again for people world-wide to enjoy. Does this mean that sites like The Pirate Bay are here to stay? It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few days, when TPB fills in the missing details about what happened, and the **AA's have their say.

We have absolutely no way of confirming the information ourselves, but according to iTWire, we can expect to really pay out the nose for the most ultimate version of Windows ever conceived, Windows Vista Ultimate. Like, say, something to the tune of $450 US. Yeah, we know that's a lot, but we're assuming that's for the single-license full install retail MSRP; and when you consider the fact that the single-license full install retail MSRP of XP Pro is still $300 US, it's not too drastically unrealistic. Don't get us wrong, we're not exactly endorsing snapping up operating systems that cost more than the machines they run on but, you know, it is Ultimate freaking Vista, dude. Oh, and apparently Office 2007 Ultimate will set you back $679 US, too. Don't get dizzy now, just get your company to pick 'em up for you and you'll be well on your way to the Ultimate Microsoft suite which might have otherwise been used to put a nice down payment on a private jet.

Well, that was fast. Not eight days after Apple's new flagship store was unveiled, Stevie J.'s fantastical glass elevator began acting a bit wonky, first opening and shutting its doors, then finally sealing in its passengers on the upper level. Apple store employees worked their hardest to release the bunch, but eventually the NYPD had to be called; the elevator's hydraulic system had to be drained, and the confined group was let out in the store's bowels (i.e. lower level). Everybody otherwise seemed okay, but as far as we know no one was gifted with a free iPod in exchange for the 45 minutes they spent trapped, encased in glass like so many specimens for study. Ah well, you can't always help it when your elevator gets the spinning beach ball, now can you?

"Very weird I know but the key combination you need to switch Aero Glass on / off (given that your system's configured for Aero Glass) is Control-Shift-F9

I'm sure there must be a rational explaination as to why such a combo but it's beyond me!"
