I was surprised to see a lack of a FF camera as well with Tango coming out and more importantly, Skype before years end. Very nice looking device though, Meego was the only thing I didn't like about the N9 so it is a plus but since I live in the US anyway I guess I'll just have to wait an see what else is on the way in 2012 ... bummer.

Zunepass did change to $9.99 and without keeping songs, however, if you had the old version you can keep it if you want ... like me. Love me some Zunepass.

I really like the IMDB idea for CH9 so you have my vote for that.

TWC9: Nineys, MIX Open Call, WP7 GPS Emulator, & lots of new software releases

That and the text to speech thing that would "sing" what would you do with a drunken sailor was the coolest thing about the Sound Blaster 16 ... at least when you're 12.

My suggestion for the update? Try not to film it on a Friday afternoon

@LarryLarsen: From what I've see and read it doesn't really have an upper limit of what it can see (aside from space limitations) but the gesture controls are programmed with a maximum of three fingers. So while the device itself can sense more, at the moment more than three contacts will not register a gesture.
In addition to that, the sensor grid is only on the front of the mouse where normal mouse buttons are (everywhere the grid pattern is on the mouse) and so it will not do a palm detection as there are no sensors there to do so. It is also a BlueTrack sensor so it will work on all the usual BlueTrack surfaces.

It's sort of round-about and I'm sure just a slip of the tongue in the first place, but if you want to get technical, Weta Digital (the digital effects house that did the CG for Avatar, the above mentioned films, King Kong, I, Robot and others) does use Pixar's Renderman software (as do most FX studios) which is what is on Azure now.

Ping 79: Facebook & Bing, Windows Phone 7 ads, Geek Fashion, Boats for Kinect
Oct 18, 2010 at 12:48 PMHa! I saw that "accessory" for the Kinect last week and couldn't stop laughing. Welcome to the wonderful world of craptacular motion sensor "accessories", Microsoft!
On a serious note, I'm also interested in more details about this mythical weekly app show. Do tell, Laura, do tell ...

Looked like a regular pano control to me, sliding the logo and title as it should.
