I loved this video on using VSeWSS with VS 2008 and customizing SharePoint! You did a wonderful job. I have been using SharePoint since 2001 and back in 2005 I worked for Microsoft PSS in Charlotte on the Dev Messaging and Collaboration team doing SharePoint
v2.0 support. Actually, I think I was the last support engineer in Charlotte to work with SharePoint development before they moved most of the support to Bangalore.
I have a few questions:
1. Do you have any examples or help on how you created the ContosoThemeSite project you imported into this demo? I am trying to create a branded theme and am having a little difficulty. Anything you can provide will be a great help.
2. I used the instructions in the Contoso Sample Setup.rtf document to uninstall SQL Server Compact 3.5 (using the MSI from the link provided) and it failed saying this is not a valid MSI image for this task. The same with uninstalling SQL Server Compact
3.5 Tools. Are these link correct? Am I going to face any problems since I did NOT do these steps?
Thanks again for a superb demonstration! I look forward to accomplishing a lot with the new version of SharePoint.
