I just got a scam email, and the email address that it came from is "msl at microsoft.com." How were they able to pull that one off? Though I am supposed to reply to a gmail account despite this email being sent from a microsoft account...

I came accross an article tonight talking about Bill's departure, and what his "retirement" will consist of. No matter if you are one of Microsoft's loyal followers, or you prefer the alternatives, I find it very hard to not admire his dedication to improving society. I was also surprised about the part saying why he isn't the CEO of his foundation. All I know is that once he leaves his active role at the end of the month, that will certainly not be the last we hear of him.

I was listening to 93.9 here in Chicago and there was a commercial for MSN Money. It was in the form of rap song, and was pretty funny. I can't say that I have heard anyone do a rap song about investing and using a website for tracking your investments. I know there have been discussions on here about Microsoft needing to use different methods for advertising its products, and I would say this is one of the most unique methods that I have seen/heard from them.

I can't find it on the internet to share with you guys, but I am interested to see if anyone else has heard this yet.

Dream Scene is now available [Dream Scene is now available]

I just did an update check in vista, and it now has the dream scene preview available for download, along with 2 other updates. Though it seems to be crashing my video drivers at the moment, so Im still trying to figure out what is causing that.

Update: I found that if I right click on the desktop and then click pause, and then wait for it to update the screen, then I can click resume and it actually works. My guess is the problem is due to the nvidia driver.

I got an email today from microsoft with a link to download a 60 trial of the 2007 office system. You can pick ~~wich~~ which version you want to download (pro, student, etc.). Here is the link provided in the email:

It says it has update ui and features, Im about to install it now, so I havent gotten to check it out yet.
