  • Understanding the HTML5 You Wrote - 04

Even using the stored file from lesson 4, my graphics don't come out the same.

They are sort of next to each other. The bog graphic floats right ok, but the other buts up against it. Like I said this happens with the stored version. Is it a setting on IR I need to change?

  • Styling Your First HTML5 Web Page with CSS3 - 03

Well I'm back on track but without ever finding the problem, by copying from the Lesson 4 CSS file. My suspicion is that by finger trouble I put a non-print char in the CSS file that caused a glitch.

But I'm not bothering to find out.

  • Styling Your First HTML5 Web Page with CSS3 - 03

I suppose this is a common problem. I put in the link statement and the first CSS file. They are not exactly huge steps, and I reran the main HTML file with validator to check the link was ok.

Absolutely zilch. The page is as serify as a very seriffy page. Tried exiting IE. Tried Chrome. Nothing.

The problem is that there appears to be nothing in the way of debug help. Did it not like a file name? Something in the CSS file? The problem is: When it doesn't work you don't get a clue why or any means to find out.

    Is it really that tricky?
