Test of Terror: A Channel 9 Halloween Bedtime Story
Nov 02, 2012 at 6:53 AMGood, as always. But I recall Laura saying once, on Ping, that she's a member of Mensa, so she's smart.
Bill Hill: Homo sapiens 1.0 - The world's most important operating system
Oct 22, 2012 at 9:35 AMI hadn't see this video back in 2004, so it was very good to see it now. I found Bill Hill's comment about needing to focus upon the human using the computer, more than the computer itself, his "homo sapiens 1.0" comments, an epiphany. Very good!
Ping 154: Wireless charging, Bing it on, Microsoft China, Paul is leaving Microsoft
Sep 18, 2012 at 7:11 AMI'm very sad to learn that Paul is leaving Ping, and Microsoft. I wish you all the best, Paul.

Diagnosing Application Issues - 01
May 16, 2012 at 7:08 AMI just started watching this series. Great series! I'm learning a lot, especially about things I didn't even know was there, like Perfmon. I've got a question about performance monitor. I have been able to find it on my Windows 7 box, but can't on my old XP box. Here at work we have a mixture of XP and Win7, so it would be great if I could run that on XP as well. Is it there?
TWC9: Windows 8 Release Preview, SkyDrive, PhoneGap Build and more
May 04, 2012 at 6:47 AMJust watched this on my ride into work. The new functionality to SkyDrive sounds good, but I've got a question. I also use Live Mesh, which syncs things like my IE favorites, and whatever folders I choose, into the cloud. This is great, and I use it, but the most important thing to me, with respect to Live Mesh, is the ability to be able to log into my work PC from anywhere. I rely upon that to get remote access to my work PC. Does this new functionaltiy to SkyDrive do that? Does SkyDrive and Live Mesh "play nice" with each other?
TWC9: New Team Members, Win8, C++, SQL 2012, Cloud Numerics
Feb 17, 2012 at 1:45 PM@rbarraza: Rick, it's my turn to apologize for not responding sooner. WOW, almost a month after you replied to me. I'm sorry!
Thank you for your description as to what you mean by a "new developer". It's interesting, then, as it now seems like Microsoft is going to make it possible for the hobbiest developer to get back into the game, so to speak. I know that you meant more than that, but it seems as though the new developer would be someone who isn't necessarily a heavy duty enterprise developer (although they're included), but could also be the person who writes a few scripts on the side, occasionally dabbles in HTML and JavaScript, that Windows 8 will open it up for people like that again. Something that was lost with each new version of VS.
