(1) Dell 17" DVI connection

(2) Phillips 17" Analog connection

Video Cards (2):

(1) (I don't recall the make) NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 (I think or equivelent) 128MB PCIe, using built-in WDDM drivers

(1) XFX GeForce 5200 256MB PCI, using built-in WDDM drivers


Quadro FX is controlling two monitors #1, #3 and the FX 5200 is controlling #2. Glass works on all monitors and works well with build 5728. I haven't tried 5744 yet.

Aren't these backup and other issues just "Known Issues" with the current public beta build of Media Player. I saw a bunch of people freaking out over on techmeme.com, but I don't see the big deal. Basically these things are broken in Beta 2 and Microsoft let everyone know about it in this Reame.txt type of page.

I'm sure they will address them before the player goes to RTM.

I have run into a bug with my new Dell at work that it won't load the Intel on-board video drivers. It says something like the drivers won't work in VGA mode when I try and get it going for three monitors. But the nVidia 5200 256MB PCI card works fine and AERO works with it great.

That stinks you can't get either of your cards working. If you are a technical tester I would imagine they will get a new build in the next few weeks, so hopefully the updates fix your issues.
