just came across " The ten worst presentation moments " from a blog i read.
the one that made me laugh the most was

I then turned up ready to give the presentation with my presentation on a floppy disk. In the meeting room was a 35mm slide projector. The meeting organiser pointed to the corner and said in a somewhat insulted tone,“There is the power point; we do have electricity here – we are not that backward.”

Most of us must have used powerpoint presentations and i agree its a matter of taste as to which is good and how a presentation must be.
today i came across an interesting comparison of the presentation done by Bill gates during his announcement of Windows Live and other presentations and those done by Steve Jobs at the Zen aesthetic . take a look at these pictures

I feel Steve Jobs is better at this and Less is more in this case .so which is better in your view and how do you present your presentations ?

yes its a long time since he did that talk. it was on 12th december last year. Despite my sleepless night the day before and the deep sleep by the person next to me, my interest on seeing him live kept me awake that day;) .That wasn't the case when i downloaded this recording hence i took my time.
there are certain things i think you guys would like to hear as well like his answer on how he came upon the idea of creating a foundation and when he did his last coding. so check this out

i somehow found this but i doubt how many others might find it. i received an email from so called ebay user saying that she/he paid me and that i didn't reply. the first thing is that i didn't give that email id to ebay account i have. but when i clicked it opened a web page with the link text

now just click on it and u will go to a web page that looks like ebay but it is some other website.this one -->

It asks for ur ebay username and password. i thought it was time for me to install the phishing filter add-in for my msn search toolbar . i downloaded it and just to see a dialog that the add-in is only for winxp . i m having windows 2003 std. how diff is it from win xp. guys at msn incharge of this add-in please update it . phishing is in a growing stage, try to eradicate before it is found out by even more troublemakers as just another weapon in their collection and u can do it only if it can be used by all .

i wanted to warn other niners too about this .but i think all u guys are smart enough to find it right ;)

sometime back i read a book in which there were explainations on various databases such as SQL server,MySQL,Oracle etc. When explaining about MySQL the author listed it being open source as one of its feature.

What do u think guys? do u consider open source as a feature?

i recently reinstalled my win2003 and formatted my entire hard disk before that. now even if i copy small file, NTFS seems to fit it in the smallest place possible . i defragmatted this sunday and here is the new analysis report

i haven't read many novels but i got The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho some time back as a gift and i definetly loved it. having read discussions on religion in another thread reminded me of how well this book handles both islam and christianity and various cultures . check it out heres a link to the amazon

this was a test app in .net 2.0 and i was surperised to notice that this takes 6MB RAM but after sometime it reduces to 1.3 MB

that is what "There" does. yes "There" is the name of a 3D enviroment to chat,play and explore the world ( virtual that is ) with physics that lets us do activites like surf , sky dive etc. some really cool features.
