Stack Of Toast
Check me out on the web at my blog.
My name is Peter Stathakos and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I'm a Mechanical Engineer by education but I've been working with computers since I was a wee lad. I currently work for a medium sized retail software company tracking down bugs in our released code, although a career change is right around the corner.
I've been a VB developer for quite a while, and although my C++ skills are a bit rusty I've recently begun learning C# so I can be that double VB.NET/C# threat!
Montreal is a great city but it's too cold and dreary in the winter and the west coast is calling...
The biggest thing to happen to me recently is my marriage which was a yearlong project to find the right vendors, balance costs, create special gifts and add touches to everything, all while trying to maintain our sanity. It all culminated in a week with a packed house of guests from Mexico a crazy rehearsal party and a wonderful wedding day. It was awesome!

Bill Hill - Do you think anyone is going to read a book on the screen?
Apr 20, 2004 at 3:15 PMFor me it would definately be a better form factor such as a Tablet PC (or smaller) and a clearer font. So far nothing beats the old fashioned book for durability, speed (no booting requiried) and portability.
Bill Hill - What were the influences in your life?
Apr 19, 2004 at 2:07 PMI have known a few fascinating people like Bill in my life and they always leave you wanting to know more, so more Bill Hill please!!!
I was always interested in space and technology, I got interested in computers when I convinced my parents to buy me a Commodore 64 when I was 12 so I could play games. I ended up programming with it and the rest is history.
