Coffeehouse - Doom at the theater was cool ... for 15 minutes

Rotten Tomatoes critics are slaying it but it wasn't that bad.

Toward the end (no spoilers) there was a good 15 minutes that was just like the game but most of the rest was slow. Too much waiting for stuff to happen, not hellish enough, not enough carnage.

Also, not enough of the enemies made it to the screen. I wonder sometimes if the people who make these movies ever actually
play the game to get the true nuances of what happens in them.
Good grief, man, think about the issues!

64-bit blogging LOL Heck, blogging could be done on a Vic 20. Technology has gone far beyond the real world requirements for word processing. Word is one of the most bloated wordprocessors on the planet. If a word processor doesn't load instantaneously these
days there is a real problem with the product.

Hint to Microsoft: just because the space is there doesn't mean it has to be used!

And this thinking should be applied to Windows Media Player 11. Smaller, faster, more efficient, better.

Less is more, would be nice to see a more stripped back raw version of Windows
Media Player, something that runs fast uses very small amount of resources and offers a plethora of one-click plugins like Firefox has available. Why waste all that space on "sync" if you don't have a portable device to sync to? Instead have the UI be device
aware and when a portable device is plugged in that becomes an obvious option. Seems like wasted real estate for those who don't have portable devices.

Yeah. Go to the VS Command Prompt and type in gacutil /cdl

Make sure all IE windows are closed prior to running utility. Otherwise, it will fail since an IE instance will have an object in the object cache loaded in memory...

If that doesn't work... Add C9 to your trusted sites collection and see what happens.

C

All windows closed, went to VS command prompt and type. The download cache deleted successfully. Reopened and tried again: no change.

Added http://channel9.msdn.com/ to trusted sites and tried again: no change, still redirects. The only site in my trusted zone is c9.

Any other suggestions?

Doesn't make sense. Did you install anything in the past three hours?

Again, do you have .NET 2.0 installed? Did you modify your browser security settings? Hard for me to figure this out since I'm not on your machine.
No, Charles, I've done nothing to this machine except refresh this page. It sits by other machines I use. I just said above that I verified the specs on the machine and quoted your former post. It's .NET 1.1, not version 2.0. I do have Visual Studio .NET Professional
installed on this machine though. Nothing new has been installed today though.

And you have been making changes the last couple hours -- the formatting changed after my last comments.

All examples run in the SDK 1.7. Suggestion?

You must be running .NET 2.0.
So did something change in the last two hours then or not? See my earlier inked posts. Solution? Your answer wasn't very helpful.
