All I can say right now is *please* keep up the pressure.  This is not the time to throw in the towel regarding XP support in VC11.  Anyone on the TAP program or some super-elite special relationships with Microsoft (e.g. 1000s of licenses of MSDN), now is the time to play your cards.  Contact Microsoft and make it clear to them that you are not going to touch this product for years to come.

This is not a sane decision.  Any real-world app developer, armed with this information, will pin their development tools to Visual Studio 2010 for the next five to ten years at least.

We can't afford to alienate our customers by breaking our product on XP.  So we'll be skipping 2011 until Microsoft figures this one out.

the point is that up until about 2 months ago, the google results were great.  now the old MSDN stuff is completely hidden because of the new Dev Center.  it all started right after BUILD
