I found out how to stop that stupid "My Project" folder from coming back. All you have to do is create a file called "My Project" (no extension) in the project directory and then manually edit your vbproj file to remove the include.

How can I get rid of the My namespace though?

Why can't I just have SOME of the productivity enhancements of VB (like optional parameters and easy event handling) without feeling like an idiot everytime I type "MyBase" or "My Project", etc....?

You'd think that MS would want VBers to feel like real programmers instead of children!!!

As if VB programmers didn't get made fun of enough, you have to dumb it down like this.

If this had come out before Google maps I'd be impressed.

Other than that, Google maps has a much nicer feel to it.

Tell you what. Show me your C/C++/MFC/ATL/WTL code for even a simple data-entry form and I'll show you why VB isn't for beginners.

I still use VB6 because 1) I feel that .Net built desktop applications are resource hogs and 2) All of my tools and code modules are already written in VB6 and I don't want to do them over again.

I'll stop using VB6 when it stops working.
