It's working quite nicely here, XP and even as a limited user. Nice rendering speed, not slow as sh*t like iTunes is. I'll have to play around some more...

I second the use of a locale-aware method.

Memcached seems to be the standard that lots of people use. Surely there is a .NET library for interfacing with it? AFAIK the protocol for communicating with a server is pretty simple.
