Defrag: Uninstall leftovers, IE Crash, Watchdog Bugcheck
Apr 18, 2013 at 5:18 AMGov / Larry,
I'm a fan. I love the show. I found an interesting problem that I cannot see away around.
Problem Description:
a) Windows 8
b) Windows 8 Media Center Pack
c) I purchased a license for the Media Center Pack
d) I installed it on 1 computer and it works just fine.
e) I used the same license for a second computer thinking, it probably should work and it did, however, the next day I recieve an activation window
f) I was cool with purchasing another license for $9.99 as I like Media Center enough
g) Now, I'm stuck in "Hell", I cannot activate the product and I can't get the Activation Window to stop popping up
h) When I call the number 855-469-9468 thinking that I can just purchase there, I'm in "Hell" again. I cannot get around the prompts and I cannot purchase a license
What is a brother to do ?
I still absolutely "LOVE" Windows 8 - but good golly, this one is trying as it is on my DEV PC.
Using Perfmon to Diagnose Application Issues - 02
May 05, 2012 at 3:33 AMI will say in addition...
- I definately don't want to attack the messenger but, I've tried to attack system debugging on Windows a few times and I just never have gotten as good at it as I was on UNIX.
I'm going to watch all of your episodes a few times and see how far it takes me.
I really appreciate you taking the time to do this... I have the same problem with SQL Server and using Performance Tuning, but that's for another forum...
Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Using Perfmon to Diagnose Application Issues - 02
May 04, 2012 at 6:31 AMComplaint - Concern.
I watch a lot of videos on this site and your pitch and delivery was good but it was way too much information for me without demos. I could use smaller doses with demos of live application perfmon tracing to solidify all of this information.
Thanks (Concerned) follower.

I'm very happy to see your return.
This series means a lot to me.
I've looked for it over the last few months and hoped you'd have a safe return.

The possibilities are endless (full text and the fuzzy logic sort of implications).

Mar 20, 2012 at 8:12 AMDonna, you did a great job! (Thank You)
I would really like to see more on F#. I've wondered about F# for a while and haven't had any good examples until now. (I could have bought a book but this video is worth more than 1000 words.)

Mar 02, 2012 at 11:37 AM@DeadX07:I have been thinking of the same thing and I think Microsoft has the same idea. I was checking the "End of Life" for Windows XP the other day and saw something interesting. Windows 7 has an "End of Life" of somewhere around 2020....
Maybe Microsoft is betting on 2 different markets here...
