I have to admit it would be very cool to see a video like this come out from Microsoft showing all of the people working on Windows...or Xbox or Office. There are thousands of tiny people working to make these huge programs....it'd be cool to see them...

Missing Video Controls on Channel9 with SL3? [Missing Video Controls on Channel9 with SL3?]

I downloaded Silver Light 3 and when I watch videos on Channel9 I no longer see the forward,back, or volume controls.

Is this a known bug? I have another machine with SL2 and the toolbar is showing up.

Anyone else seeing this?

U.S. employers axed payrolls by a shocking 533,000 in November for the weakest performance in 34 years, government data on Friday showed, as the recession inflicted a mounting toll on the U.S. labor market.

The Labor Department said the unemployment rate rose to 6.7 percent last month in the highest reading since 1993, compared with 6.5 percent in October, after widespread losses across the country's major industry sectors.

The number was far above analyst expectations.

"The only time I've experienced this was the second quarter of 1980 where we had the credit crunch, so rather than an erosion, you have an absolute shutdown," Robert Barbera, chief economist at ITG, said on CNBC. "This is a minus-8, minus-8.5 GDP kind of number."

In my opinion it's getting scary out there. I know a few people who were directly affected last month and are now looking for work.

Just trying out the create a new thread button...it seems to be working.

Am I missing something or is there no longer the ability to change the size or color of the text in threads?

At the June 2004 WWDC, Jobs blew away the MSFT engineers in attendance by demonstrating lightning fast Spotlight searches on Tiger (OSX 10.4). The court-released MSFT emails show how flabbergasted they were, and the imperative of getting the Tiger preview DVDs back to Redmond for reverse engineering. Comments by MSFT's Jim Allchin and Lenn Pryor were priceless

If this trend continues, and bandwidth improvesm in 4-5 years, I'm going to be storing all of my data in the cloud.
