Sometimes even he sold the printers at a loss.

But on cables the markup was like 1500% and around 500% on the ink. That is where he made his money ...

This whole start-button thing got me thinking about how I use my computer. I hardly ever touch the start menu you all talk so much about. I have all the programs I need pinned to the taskbar, and I click the start menu icon maby once a week, propably less.

I get it that it's very annoying that the whole metro interface launches when you click start ... but how often do you do that anyway?

So I would like to do something like this:

on startup: skip Metro and go directly to the desktop (a setting somewhere)
on start icon click: skip Metro and show classic start menu

Should be an easy solution, right? And if you would like to use the metro thingy, a button on the taskbar should do the trick ...

This is exactly what I a missing from the site ... it's way to "produced" as it is now. You put out videos, connected to product launches that are just marketing speak. And you proudly present your great big studio as something great. It really can server a purpose, but the reason I joined in the first place were the low key videos, getting it on with the people that are getting the work done, day in, day out.

 

C9 is about the develper community listening to what the people on the mothership are doing. Peeking inside. Rolling out produced videos by the marketing department time and time again is not the way. And it's not the way the site was before.

 

So. Get Scoble back and get crackin' ... Wink
