Channel 9 Team - Welcome to our new design
Aug 25, 2005 at 7:44 PMChris Jones - Beta 1 of Windows Vista revealed
Jul 28, 2005 at 11:35 AMThis standard user thing is not going to work. Most users today simply don't understand the importance of PC security. People are not going to know about the difference between an administrator account and standard account. If all Vista user accounts are admin by default, most people will never know to change that.
Furthermore, the average user will just blindly input their password anytime they're prompted and end up installing who knows what on their systems. I hope this isn't Vista's only defense against spyware—Microsoft needs to make a lot of under the hood changes to prevent spyware from overtaking a system in the first place.
MSN Virtual Earth Team - Virtual Earth Ships
Jul 24, 2005 at 11:06 PMGreat job overall with Virtual Earth, but here are a few Firefox bugs I found:
- Scroll wheel issue when zooming out. I can zoom in just fine with my scroll wheel in Firefox, but often when I zoom out with the wheel the map also pans south and eventually gets stuck.
- Zoom slider and directional pad often get "stuck" and require an extra click in order to stop zoom or scrolling, respectively.
- Minor: The bounding box for the X on windows such as the welcome panel is a bit larger than it should be.
- Very Minor: No transparency on the top blue banner.
It'd be nice if these issues could be corrected.

Sanaz Ahari and Steve Rider - Start.com
Jul 21, 2005 at 11:20 AMGreat stuff... I like start.com because of its simplistic design and compatibility with Firefox. I'd love to see more MSN sites done in a similar fashion as well as better integration among all these great new MSN services.
Steve Ballmer - Quick chat with Microsoft's CEO
Jul 07, 2005 at 6:44 PMI think Steve Ballmer should do Microsoft keynotes at CES and other events instead of Bill. He has great enthusiasm which surpasses that of Steve Jobs and would help give Microsoft a much hipper look.
