Hello Guys

Well, i am facing some problem regarding Video Hosting, i started a new service here in my country and because of this service, i cover alot of content on Videos. I don't want to re-invent the wheel of creating yet another video portal. Is there some kind of sponorship availabe from companies, where i am providing them the cotent and will use their player on my different websites.

i know there are soapbox, youtube etc etc, but my videos are usually >100 MB

what could be the possible solution?

Hello Folks

I know, I am not much active on Channel9 Forums, so I think I must start participating alot in these forums as they are great source of information to me.

So, the basic reason of writing this post is to know about others perspective about my idea of starting a new startup company, the country to which I belong usually doesn’t support this idea, here there are big (as far as Pakistan is considered) companies and usually CS graduates prefer to do Job rather than start implementing their ideas.

What do you think? Is it the right decision? As far as I think, I am pretty much satisfied with my decision to start my own company. Here I am working on all the cool stuff that I want to work (while generating revenues from Offshore Development). Learning and implementing all those new technologies in the market and then impressing the customer from our way of development and user experience. My company is still only 1 month old, but I think I gain much more knowledge, experience and user interaction as compared to my 8 month boring Job in one of the Pakistan Top Software House.

Today we officially announced the winners to the Made In Express Contest including the Grand Prize ($10,000 US), First Prize, and Community Choice winners. The competition was tight and the voting even produced a tie for first place. Rather than breaking the tie, we’ve decided to recognize two First Prize awards! Project: All terrain self-maneuverable robot

Ernie’s all-terrain self-maneuverable robot was a huge favorite with the judges. “Ernie Hall’s robot just stood out,” says judge Robert Scoble, “His videos, blogs, and the project itself made it a clear winner right away.” Ernie encourages everyone to keep on learning, recently posting “You can learn C# even if you are 65” in his blog. As a professor at the University of Cincinnati, Hall now plans to turn his code and blog entries into a course for my computer science and engineering robotics students.

Ali’s idea to help people communicate via instant messaging in different languages came from a personal need, “I have a friend in France whose English is not so good, so whenever we are talking on the MSN Messenger, I copy what ever he says, paste it into a translation service, then type my reply in English, translate it into French and copy it back in MSN Messenger.” From the start, people loved Ali’s idea to bring people closer together, “…what i mean to say that your idea will help many people out there, it'll help communicating with people so i wish u good luck with your idea,” says one commenter on his blog.

Project: Personalized print newspaper/magazine

Jonas helped us all take a step closer to publishing our own newspaper based on the news we care about. FeedJournal is “actually a little glimpse of the future…it will likely be a common way for readers to ‘roll their own’ magazines in the near future” says judge Phil Torrone, Senior Editor of Make Magazine. Jonas plans to continue development of FeedJournal and even aspires to make a commercial version of the application available.

Community Choice Winner

Project: A curmudgeon chat bot

Roman’s curmudgeon chat bot styled on the popular television show “Dr. House” was a big favorite with the community voters. Clearly, thinking about the larger community is a big deal for him. “The fun thing about this competition are the diversity of people involved in it,” says Canlas, “We can conclude that technology is universal despite of your race and color”.

The Internet Activity Monitor captures what you are doing on IE like Open a Browser, Request a Website and Close the Browser.

This appplication is a simple one, but a useful one. I used this application in a Windows Service which monitors the activity of the browser and the person logged-In at that time.

Currently this application captures the activity of the Internet Explorer. A new and improved version will be posted shorty that can monitor the activity of user defined browsers.

This Application (a simple one) will show the current selected color in three Different Formats i.e RGB Format, Hexadecimal Format and Interger Format. The Idea of making this program comes when i get fustrated (Thanks to TopCoder Logo Design Competition - TCCC 06), this is the time when i was working on different Graphical Tools, the problem here is that some Graphical Tools supports the RDB Color Format, some supports Hexadecimal Format and others....

So instead of calculating again & again, i have this nice program on my desktop now :).

Is there any video on the cards for Microsoft XNA, Are C9 covering this at the GDC?

Beacuse usually the CTP of any product comes up with a video with that Product Team (on C9) like the Expression tools?

We use Visual Studio for developing Windows Application, Web Application, Web Services ........etc.

i was just wondering what Development Enviroment / Language Microsoft use to develop Visual Studio :)
