Well, you can't install SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 side by side so yes, it will cause you problems.
However, it has a Go Live license and I don't think there are many changes to the actual engine.
However, Virtual Machines are always the best route to go.

I just mentioned this on the forums and the next public release will be RTM.

SubSonic is great!! I used it when 2.0 was released, need to look into it a bit more - maybe blog a bit about it. It is very cool, plus it works with .Net 2.0 (Unlike Linq).
Linq is also very cool, but its still in beta and requires .net 3.5 so that might be a non-starter for you. I do like it, not sure if I would pick Linq to SQL over SubSonic.

I would be very surprised if they didn't do an RC.
Can't imagine it going from Beta 2 > RTM.
I haven't heard anything about RC yet, but I'm sure it will happen (October time maybe?) -
Vibrate only ever since I got phones which support it (Old Nokia 3210 didn't, think most of the time it was on silent).
Personally, I can't stand ringtones. -
Yep i'll be watching.
But, I can't help but feel it would be more funny if they just film a real IT department.... -
What kind of encryption does SkyDrive use? All I can see is that it is password protected by Live ID and SSL.
I agree with blowdart, it really needs to be accessible from My Computer/Network Places. -
