Thanks Bill for your genius!! I bought a Dell Axim X51v due to you chatting about reading books. I love it and I also love the new fonts in Mobile 5. Any special issues you and the ClearType team had in developing ClearType fonts for Mobile 5?

I was very shocked to see Eddie on Channel9 but not shocked by the shirt.
I worked with Eddie back 10 years ago on a skunkwork project for Chrysler. I knew he moved from another dev tool company to Microsoft not too long ago but I am happy to see
him at Microsoft working on a great product. Eddie always had a great way of putting technology down to an easy level. Looks like he has not lost the gift.

Thanks Kenneth for your Honestly during the interview. I am not only impressed by your abilities but by your dedication. Pleasing yourself first is a thing that most people seem to not grasp. I bet you made a lot of people think including myself. Thanks.

I would love to see some interviews with the DirectX team that handles the move to Managed code with DirectX. I would like to hear about views on using Managed DirectX not just for gaming but also for topics such as scientific and business.

Yes he hit it right on the head with pointers. The next hangups for most people would either be event-driven programming and/or objects. I quickly understood OO programming but I do have to admit that event-driven programming threw me for a loop. I was so comfortable in top down programming that the idea of events took a couple of hours to wrap by brain around.

Great vid. The best yet on a visual basis. You guys are going to need a production team soon.

Neil Enns - What do developers need to think about when building applications for the SmartPhone?
May 25, 2004 at 4:52 AMI have a few ideas that I am starting to design for the smart phone devices. I have to admit that in the beginning I was not very impressed with the smart phones but I have seen that I have had to change my thinking and view of the world. The days of thinking in a window or a browser are gone and for the better. I will post ideas as they get flushed out but I am trying to help the user with driving and weather. Hope they work out.
Neil -- What are the web resources you mentioned in the interview? A blog for smart phones? anything else you would have a person check out to get 100% up to speed on the small devices? Thanks -
Damn you!!!
You just made the convertible Tablet PC a top priority on my purchase list. My wife is going to either kill me or take it.
Thanks for the demo. The new features look great and very user friendly. -
Thanks Neil for your insights. Very interesting to hear about the details of Win Mobile 2003 SE. I am having a lot of fun developing software for the PocketPC and Smart Phone devices. Very refreshing like the days when Win32 came onto the scene.
